Jeff Werner

Daimler

Jeff Werner is General Manager for International and Public Policy in Daimler's External Affairs and Public Policy office in Washington, DC. Daimler has over 18,000 US employees at its various subsidiaries, including Mercedes-Benz USA, Daimler Trucks North America, Daimler Bus, and Daimler Financial Services. In this role, he manages the company's US international government affairs with a focus on trade, investment, and transatlantic issues, as well as the overall federal lobbying coordination on domestic legislation. Werner joined the DaimlerChrysler Corporation as Manager for International Government Affairs in 2005.

Prior to joining Daimler, Werner served as the Executive Director of the Transatlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) US Office from 2003 to 2005. He joined the TABD in 1999 as its Deputy Director and worked under the TABD chairmanships of The Coca-Cola Company, the Boeing Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers, United Technologies Corporation and the Xerox Corporation.

Werner received an MSc in European Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE) in 1994, a BA in political science from Hobart College in 1991, and studied at the University of Bath (UK) in 1989. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife Claudia and is a dedicated fan of DC United, the local professional soccer team.
