Jeff Werner
General Manager, International Daimler
Jeff Werner is the General Manager for International Affairs in Daimler’s Washington, DC office, supporting of the company’s various business units, including Mercedes-Benz, Daimler Trucks, Vans, Buses and Financial Services. In this role, he directs Daimler’s North American international government affairs with a focus on trade, investment, and transatlantic issues, as well as lobbying strategies for certain domestic issues. Werner joined the DaimlerChrysler Corporation as Manager for International Government Affairs in February 2005.
Prior to joining DaimlerChrysler, Werner served as the Executive Director of the Transatlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) US Office from January 2003 to February 2005. He joined the TABD in 1999 as its Deputy Director, and worked under the TABD chairmanships of The Coca-Cola Company, the Boeing Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers, United Technologies Corporation and the Xerox Corporation.
Werner received his MSc in the Politics and Government of Western Europe from the London School of Economics (LSE) in 1994, a BA in political science from Hobart College in 1991, and studied at the University of Bath (UK) in 1989. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife Claudia and is a dedicated fan of DC United, the local professional soccer team.
