Joe Walsh
Director, six state New England region, Lime Energy
Joe Walsh is Director of the six state New England region for Lime Energy (NASDAQ: LIME), one of the country's most dynamic and fast-growing energy efficiency and renewable energy companies. Joe also contributes to the company's national policy planning and strategy development, drawing from a breadth of experience in government, legal and regulatory affairs in both the regulated and unregulated portions of the US energy sector.
Prior to joining Lime Energy, Joe launched the City of Boston's Renew Boston energy efficiency initiative, a $20M energy efficiency and distributed generation program aimed at underserved urban constituencies. He joined the Mayor's staff with a utility environmental and energy law background where he published work analyzing the pathways and obstacles - in law and policy - to adoption of renewable energy in state, federal and international energy policy. Joe's writing on the law, politics and policy of energy regulation has been featured online by the Wall Street Journal and syndicated by Reuters; and, he has broad policy and market expertise in Eastern European and Central Asian energy policy after serving as an intelligence officer for the US government.
Joe lives in his native Boston, with his wife and three young children. In his spare time, Joe is the founder and curator of the corporate social responsibility network group on LinkedIn. An avid runner, Joe recently completed the 39.3 mile Goofy Challenge in Disney World in just over 6 hours.
