Gene Rodrigues
Director of Energy Efficiency, Southern California Edison Company
Gene Rodrigues is the Director of Energy Efficiency for Southern California Edison Company, one of the largest investor-owned utilities in the United States. As Director of SCE’s Energy Efficiency Division, Mr. Rodrigues oversees all aspects of policy, planning, operations, and support for SCE’s portfolio of Energy Efficiency, Low Income Energy Efficiency, Low Income Rate Assistance, and Customer Generation programs.
Southern California Edison is a national leader in energy efficiency. Over the last five years, Southern California Edison has partnered with its customers to save more electricity through energy efficiency programs than any utility in the United States.
Mr. Rodrigues is the former chairperson of the board of directors for the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, a nonprofit organization of utility and non-utility energy efficiency program administrators, environmental groups, research organizations, and state energy offices from throughout the U.S. and Canada. He is also on the board of directors for the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing energy efficiency as a means of promoting economic prosperity and environmental protection. Gene serves in leadership positions on state policy initiatives such as California’s Green Building Initiative and on national initiatives such as the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency.
