Kaisa Heikkila
Second Secretary, Permanent Mission of Finland to the United Nations
Since 2005, Ms. Kaisa Heikkila (born 1971) has been assigned as Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Finland to the United Nations in New York, responsible for humanitarian and sustainable development issues, including information technology. In 2004, she was posted to the Embassy of Finland in Madrid, Spain. Ms. Heikkila joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland in 2003, serving in the Legal department and in European Affairs. Before that she served as Advisor at the International Division of the Defense Staff of Finland, and as Project Coordinator at the Ministry for Education and Science. She holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Helsinki, and has studied in the University of Tübingen, Germany, as well as the GCSP in Geneva, Switzerland.
