H.E. Ambassador Marijan Gubic
Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Croatia

Marijan Gubic is the current Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to the United States of America. Prior to returning to the Croatian diplomatic service, Mr. Gubic held the position of communications officer and facilitator for South Central Europe with the World Bank. He worked as a consultant for marketing and business information services for PricewaterhouseCoopers, and as assistant director for international trade & marketing with Croatia’s largest distributor of wine and spirits. Mr. Gubic was appointed assistant presidential advisor to the Croatian President for international public affairs in 1999 after returning from the post of counselor for public diplomacy at the Embassy of Croatia in Washington, DC (1995-1999).

Mr. Gubic holds degrees in law and political science (honors), and also received a master’s degree in international affairs from Monash University, Australia.
