Alisa DiCaprio

Alisa DiCaprio is a Post-doctoral Fellow at New York University’s Hamilton Center for Political Economy in the Department of Politics. She currently teaches courses on regional integration and globalization. She recently received her PhD from MIT where she studied the extent to which asymmetric free trade agreements can be used to proxy for certain industrial policies that have been restricted under the WTO regime. She has authored and co-authored a number of publications about industrialization, policy space for developing countries, and the effects of various features of free trade agreements, such as labor provisions. Alisa’s research interests include development, WTO, industrialization, free trade agreements, labor standards, South America, and Southeast Asia.
