Program Description:
Athgo provides competitive Online Research Internships to undergraduate and graduate students. This 12 week intern program is designed to provide opportunities for young professionals to participate in research, under the guidance of Athgo’s Internship Director.

The online research internship introduces students to a variety of research methods, vast resources, and data compilation techniques. Research themes will be related to topics associated with Athgo’s global forums and Innovation and Capacity Building Centers. The internships will consist of multiple research assignments, which will vary in their breadth and duration.

Evaluation Criteria:
Athgo interns will be selected based upon personal statements, academic achievement and career and research interests.

Award, duration and stipend:
The internship will last 12 weeks. Interns are expected to dedicate 5-10 hours per week toward research activities and will receive their assignments from Athgo’s Internship Coordinator.

This is an unpaid internship. Interns will earn certificates, recognizing their contribution, at the end of the internship. Requests for formal credit toward an academic degree will be considered on an individual basis. Athgo is committed to working with our interns we will do everything we can to accommodate requests for academic credit.

Requirements:

• Access to a computer and the Internet
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Microsoft Office – particularly Excel and Word, Power Point a plus
• Excellent written English
