Jennifer Czincz is pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology to gain theoretical knowledge about the psychological functioning of human beings and practical experience in helping individuals overcome hardship. Her analytic nature and sensitivity towards the needs of others guide her and underpin her curiosity to identify parallels and discrepancies in the health and psychological functioning of individuals from various cultures and backgrounds. It is these two characteristics that drive me towards achieving my goal of providing aid to persons facing adversity both domestically and internationally.

“I was one of the only representatives from the discipline of psychology at a conference of over 400 young professionals, diplomats, and students from 89 countries… my experience at the Athgo forum became a turning point for me in the realization of the important role that psychology has to play in international affairs.

Since then, I have published an article entitled “Psychology and the United Nations: From Process to People” in both the national psychology newspaper and the Canadian Clinical Psychology newsletter. I have become involved with the United Nations Association of Canada and I am member of the Society for International Development. I would like to sincerely thank Athgo for having provided me with an experience that was not only inspirational and educational, but that initiated my exploration of a novel career path within my field of interest.”
